Point-7’s team, know as The Black Team (Waverider Adam Lewis and Martin Ten Hoeve) head to Pozo for the 2013 Wind & Waves Festival. This year the winds were lacking in Pozo, and a single elimination couldn’t be run, so no PWA results cam from the event this year. Still the Black Team was there see what they got up to during the 6 days of waiting for the competition.
The Aruba Hi Winds 2013 wrap up movie
This year the 27th edition of the Aruba Hi-Winds brought hundreds of competitors and visitors together. With good winds, wide range of disciplines and various side events it once again became a great success.
This 34 minute highlight real from the 2013 Aruba Hi-Winds brings you highlights from the slalom, long-distance and freestyle event. Taty Frans won the pro slalom and long-distance and Kiri Thode took the pro mens’ freestyle title.

North Americas premier freestyle event is returning to the Gorge after a 5 year absence! And it is going to be good, just check out the stoke video for the 2013 AWT Gorge Freestyle & Big Air Frenzy run from July 17th-22nd. A week of hard racing wrapped up on July 7th at the Crocodiles de L’Elorn Club in Brest. Near 300 competitors had gathered up here hoping to bring the European title home.
It was a quite first day at this years Gran Canaria Wind and Waves Festival. Check out this clip for a fun behind the scenes look at what top pros do when there is no wind!
The third stop on the Windmeet freestyle tour took place in Leucate, France. The event was hosted by Caroline Barbeau and Julien Taboulet at their centre the “Wesh Centre Crew”. The best French freestylers were all there including the Team France Windsurf crew who were well represented with the likes of Julien Mas, Nicolas Akgaciyan and Adrien Bosson. The wind didn’t cooperate, but a tow-in freestyle competition was held, along with some other fun events and here are the results:

The Aloha Classic began in 1984 and ran until 2006, where it was the final event of the Pro World Tour Season. This video from 1985 captures the multi-discipline competition including Slalom, Wave and Expression Session. In 1985 Alan Cadiz won the event, but there was no shortage of big names from the 80’s including Mike Waltze, Ian Boyd, Mark Angulo, and more!

All the riders showed really really good skills in Light wind freestyle, SUP competition, Tow In and freestyle windsurfing.
We had great weather and perfect conditions for all the “disciplines”. We got unbelievable hospitality from Cristelle Baud and all the locals who work and live there. The place is amazing and the nature is amazing… Check out what does it mean to have a good time and show a lot of action!

Check out the awesome action from Pistol River as part of the 2013 American Windsurfing Tour. The event started with 2 days of light wind perfect for a SUP contest. The forecast delivered for day four with 10-25 knot winds. Waves were small but enough to get through the entire single elimination. After the long day at the beach Camille Juban won the Single Elimination!

2013 is the 25th Anniversary of the Gran Canaria Wind and Waves Festival, which takes place form July 9th to 14th. Many of the pros are alreadyt here training and it should be an awesome event. But check out this trailer with some old school footage.
The 2013 Défi Wind in Gruissan was one of the most successful editions since the launch of the event in 2001. After a day of tow-in freestyle 3 Days of strong wind kicked in for the 805 windsurfers on 1 starting line and 175 km of full speed racing. Check out the 22 minute video that try’s do do the Defi Wind justice but is a unique event, it can not be explained, it must be done, it must be lived.
