February 2013, we are on the way for our first trip to Cabo Verde. We enjoyed 10 days on Sal, but we were happy to head further to Sao Vicente.
As we didn’t know yet what kind of a crazy hustle was expecting us. The Airplanes didn’t take our equipment, the regular boats where cancelled, because of Carneval, leaving the island seemed impossible. Fortunately we found a small container boat leaving to Sao Vicente. It was a crazy hard ride over the Atlantic. After 16h on the sea, we made it to Mindelo.

Dimitris Maniatis is working on a project to highlight the best freestyle windsurfing action on the Greek scene. The project began in late October 2012, with no rush for deadlines or sponsor deals, so expect the epic action… sometime in the future.

The young and talented Dutch born, Bonaire local Amado Vrieswijk (NB 20) shares his latest clip with us. Amado grabs some freestyle training with the new Severne Freek sails at Sorobon, Bonaire.
Greek freestyler Alexis Tetsis finished his latest clip with action from the summer until now. Most of the action was from his home spot Pounda on Paros Island and from spots near Athens including Loutsa, Lavrio, Anavissos, Megara and Isthmia.
Dieter Van der Eyken, who finished 2nd in the 2012 EFPT, has spent 7 intense weeks training in Gostoso, Brazil. During the final two weeks of his trip his parents came to visit him, and of course he had them film his riding. Here’s the edit form those two weeks enjoy!

In this Episode we feature wave sailing at Praia de Malhada, a side-onshore wave spot just upwind of Club Ventos in Jericoacoara. The conditions are the best there at mid-tide. If it is your first time there make sure to check out the spot at low-tide so you are aware of where to watch out for rocks. The spot is not particularly dangerous, but it is also not a beginner spot.
