Tons of action in this new video from the 2011 Freestyle World Champion Steven van Broeckhoven filmed at different spots in South Africa.

“This winter one of my stops was Cape Town again. I spent 3 months there preparing for the upcoming season and getting used to the new gear( JP/NP )- which was very fast. Sailing mostly on waves- freestyle and wave. So here and there we made some shots… So check it out and enjoy !”

Gaining Grounds – the movie

This is a movie about windsurfing. It´s not just about doing the latest moves. It´s about seven sailors from Austria, each of them traveling to a spot he/she feels homelike.

The producers Manuel Grafenauer and Stefan Csaky followed them on their search for conditions they life for to spots around the globe.

Enjoy the pictures of those trips and discover places like Mauritius, Vienna, Fuerteventura, Lake Neusiedl, Madagascar, the Adriatic Sea and Lake Garda.

Watch how life is there, how locals live and which conditions the riders find on the water.

WINDSURFING IS MUCH MORE THAN JUST THE TIME ON THE WATER. It´s an attitude to life. It´s an endless search. We can´t ask for a better teacher than our sport.

Enough said – ENJOY THE RIDE!
