Some video highlights this year’s Women’s World Championship and European Men’s Windsurfing Slalom Championships. This years event is taking place in Roses, Catalunya, Spain.
This video takes us over to Japan and it looks like the JPWA (Japanese Professional Windsurfing Association) is creating some strong talent. This video is from there recent freestyle event the 2012 JPWA Trick’N Try congratulations to the winner, Hiroumi Yoshida(JP/Neilpryde). Video features clips from the event including crashing, unfortunately it doesn’t include subtitles for the Japanese, and the editing is slim, but enjoy anyways!!

The Columbia Gorge Windsurfing Association is hosting their annual Windfest Weekend fundraising event – the only windsurfing demo event in the Pacific Northwest, USA – on July 7 and 8 in Hood River, Oregon.
The event will consist of unlimited windsurfing and SUP gear demos, free clinics from local Pros, free beginner lessons, raffles and prizes, food, beer and wine and a Saturday evening free outdoor concert.
It is great for first-time to expert windsurfers as well as the whole family. More information can also be found at: gorgewindsurfing.org or their facebook page.
A few Dates have just been confirmed for the PWA World Tour. The Wave event in Pozo Gran Canaria is confirmed for July 2nd to 8th, and the Freestyle and Slalom Gran Slam in Fuerteventura is confirmed for July 20th – 30th. Although the Gran Canaria event is still not fully confirmed as well as the Tenrife World Cup.
Defi Wind is the biggest windsurfing event ever. Unforunatley 2012 didn’t deliver the strong winds Defi Wind in know for. Despite the lack of strong wind, it looks like it was a great event, with everyone enjoying the fun racing.

For the second day of the 12th Defi Wind of Gruissan, the wind picked up from south east. Philippe Bru and his staff decided to run a funny race including an unbelievable beach rabbit start!
The biggest windsurfing event world wide is about to start at Gruissan. First days were about registration and chiling out on the local beach of the Chalets with lots of live music. May the Tram’ be with us for the week end!

It is a non-profit event scheduled to take place on Cabarete beach from Monday 28th of May until Saturday 2nd of June 2012.
WEPA is the fruit of the collaboration between some long time established businesses in Cabarete.
WEPA is a showcase of Cabarete’s uniqueness and a fund raiser, to enable young talented local athletes stars to participate in competitions around the world and promote Cabarete there.
