We are often seen as a slalom oriented brand due to the results we have obtained from the beggining of our brand. Ricardo has chosen us for our wave products, proving that our wave range is ready to prove the same as we did in slalom. We have 3, 4, 5 batten wave sails so there is a lot to choose from, for everyones different needs. We chose Ricardo as our top team rider as he is not only a multiple world PWA Champion, but also an icon in our sport. He fits with us, as he goes over the limits. If some are trying the double forward, he is already thinking and trying the tripple. If Ricardo needs to go to Canaries, Sylt, Maui,.. anywhere he is prepared and can fight to win the title in any conditions. He is know in the world and our product is distributed all around the world, so a great amabassador. Ricardo is a mature professional rider, who has experience not only for obtaining the winning results but also to start new projects with our brand. – Point-7

the Black Team in Tenerife

Point-7s the black team always bring us great updates of there athletes after events. Here’sthe latest from the 2013 PWA Tenrife World Cup, where they had great conditions with strong winds and big waves.

Greta in Action

Greta Benvenuti (ITA-38) has been a memeber of the Point-7 black team for many years, spending time trainingg in Tenerife, during the winter. If it’s not windy she’s surfing, runnning or doing something else active, Point-7 had this to say about her, “She can’t keep still, she needs action.” Enjoy this clip by BJ Productions of Greta waveailing and slalom sailing.

The Black Team – Winter Training in El Medano

Point-7 are taking a revolutionary step in terms of the International Team concept. From Jan 15 to mid-April 2013 the entire Black Team came to the island of Tenerife to train together as a whole team. The team was training together off the water, racing together on the water, tuning their equipment together, working with the designers on new developments, motivating and helping each other, having fun and most importantly, taking real advantage of being a Team working towards a common goal…better results, better equipment and creating a true team spirit!
In this short video you can see how the Team enjoyed this time in El Medano, the place good for slalom, wave and freestyle! You can see Andrea Cucchi, Adam Lewis, Nicolas Akagazciyan, Martin Ten Hoeve, Maciek Rutkowski, Alberto Menegatti, Pascal Toselli, Greta Benvenuti and others!

Josh Angulo leaves Point-7

After just one season with Point-7, and finishing 6th in the PWA Slalom rankings, Josh Angulo has announced he will be departing from Point-7 and the Black Team.  This is Josh’s 4th change in 5 years, having most recently left Gun Sails.   In an interview on ContinentSeven Josh said “From my understanding, the team budget they do have is preferred to be spent on a younger team. I believe they have some new “young guns” that they will by announcing soon that have joined the team.”  So it sounds like money the major factor.

We are unsure whether we will see Josh return to the PWA tour in 2013, but a good chance we will see him at a few contests, when asked of his plans he stated, “It’s hard to get rid of that “competition bug”.”

Josh is a very busy guy, becoming to father to his 3rd child, a recent move to Boston, flying back and forth from Cape Verder to the US, and running the Angulo production board brand.
