A little freestyle sesh in Porto pollo with 13/20 knots in Porto Pollo and then a nice clean surf session in La Ciaccia to finish everything up, and then straight back home. – Mattia
Mattia Pedrani known for his freestyle and beats, has been spending some time in the waves, just check out his latest clip from Oman.
This year I’ve decided to switch things up and make a single clip with both freestyle and wave. Luckily we got some pretty nice conditions this year, and I’ve tried to wavesail as much as possible, managing to pull out some pretty nice moves.
The beat is called “Never Let It Slide”
Italian freestyler Mattia Pedrani has released his latest clip.
This video is different from my previous clips. The action isn’t as fast and it focuses more on the beautiful scenery covered by 15cm of powder. The track is also smoother and communicates the surreal atmosphere I could feel when walkin around the streets and the beach covered in snow, ready to hit the water. As the title suggests, the need to go windsurfing goes beyond petty things like below zero temperatures and whether it’s actually snowing or not. It’s way too easy to be doin tricks in shorts somewhere where the water’s pancake flat.
The struggle represents the ultimate test for your passion and dedication and once you overcome it, it just makes you appreciate everything more.
As you can probably understand from me autoclosing my wetsuit, I was completely by myself and I also had to leave the Ghettocam recording on the beach by itself and try to pull tricks in front of it.
Icing on the cake, there’s a pretty big surprise in it too! 🙂
Italian Pro Mattia Pedrani brings us the 5th episode of his “Mediterranean Diet” series. This time he hits up Porto Pollo, Sardinia. The clip is composed of just 2 freestyle sessions, whiche he describes as “per gusty and the wind was switching around like crazy.”.
Italian Pro Mattia Pedrani brings us the fourth episode of “Mediterranea Diet”. This time he heads for some wave action from one of Sardegna’s best wave spots, Funtana Meiga. This winter holiday Mattia was there for two weeks and but only scored two windy days, “This winter holiday I was there for two weeks and it’s been my worst year ever… Tiny waves and super gusty winds.”
Italian freestyler Mattia Pedrani grabs some session on the East Coast of Lake Garda Italy.
During the last 2 weeks of July, the east coast of Lake Garda was battered by massive storms, with pouring rain and winds raging to 40+ knots. This video was shot mainly during those 2 sessions, plus some other footy here and there! Keep your eyes peeled cause there’s also a very rare trick in there! – Mattia Pedrani
Mattia Pedrani released this wave clip from Masirah Island yesterday. Here’s what he had to say.
The main reason I went down to Masirah Island was to find some proper wave conditions, since I can pretty much freestyle whenever I want at Lake Garda.
Murphy’s law, though, worked its magic on me once again, and bottomline I only managed to score a couple sessions with “proper” wave conditions, while the remaining 10 days was just 10-15 knots, really offshore and 1-1.5m waves.
Since I wanted to go as hard as I could, I ended up having wayyyy more goyters and takas than actual hits on proper waves…but hey, I think the video came out pretty nice, also cause the images fit perfectly on the beat I produced using FLstudio9,called
“S.O.W.”, available for downloading on my soundcloud. Turn it uppp..
Give it a look and tell me what you think!
Enjoy. Mattia Pedrani
Looks like Italian freestyler Mattia Pedrani has created a new move. Its basically a bob and a clew first willy skipper combined.
Mattia: “Necessity is the mother of invention. So what do you do when you’re bored cause the wind is too light to go for big tricks…well, you improvise. That’s what this is. Mix a Bob and a Clew First willy skipper and that’s what you get. The BRAND NEW BOBBY SKIPPER. I had this idea by myself, I started trying it from scratch, crashed the first 8 times and then got it on film. So I claim it as mine. For sure some smartass is gonna pop up sayin his cousin did it planing 10 years ago, but I don’t really care…whatever, keep talkin, just like Germany is doin with Balotelli =).”
Freestyle action by Mattia Pedrani shot at Conche in the Venetian Lagoon close to Sottomarina on Lake Garda, Italy.
