Camille and Tom Juban came to Chicama, in the Peruvian desert to beat the Guinness World Record for longest wave ever windsurfed. But before they do that they have to get the right swell, test the cameras, make sure the GPS is running and figure out how the waves at Peru’s (the world’s?) longest point really work. This years Camille Juban successfully defended his American Windsurfing Tour Title for two in a row, and finished third in the recent JP Aloha Classic. Check out this sick action clip summarizing his 2013 season as he heads to all the AWT events.
Camille Juban has set the world record for the longest wave ride ever!
“On Monday 19th August 2013 at 16h24min, Camille JUBAN realise the record of the world of the longest duration surfing a wave – windsurfed with a time of 07min and 03sec on the mythic wave of Chicama Peru.
“The American Windsurf Tour 2012 champion, currently leader of the AWT 2013 and his young brother Tom JUBAN attempt the fight for the GUINESS WORLD RECORD before to participate at the competition Pacasmayo Classic 2013.”

The 2013 AWT Quatro Desert Showdown in Punta San Carlos will go down as the most epic Pro/Am wave events in history!
Day 4 at the 2013 AWT Quatro Desert Showdown saw more wind and waves with competitors garbing there 4.5’s down to 3.5s. Conditions were epic, riders were stoked, plus long heats and the fair “second chance” bracket system had everyone smiling. Check out the wrap up of the final day of action below!

The forecast delivered for day four at the 2013 AWT Pistol River Wave Bash presented by Starboard with 20-25 knot wind. The waves were small but there was enough to get through a full single elimination bracket for all the divisions. It was a long day at the beach but it was exciting to see what the riders could deliver in such challenging conditions.

French wavesailor Camille Juban dislocated his shoulder during a surf session in Guadeloupe. Camille already had plans to be on Maui for the photoshoot season but was unable to sail, on the last day of his trip he decided to hit the water despite his injury. All the action is from one day!
Japan was recently host to a windsurfing event the “World Performance 2012”, in Decemeber of last year. Francisco Goya, Victor Fernandez Lopez, Daniel Bruch, Graham Ezzy, Camille Juban, and Tyson Poor hit up Omaezak, Japan for the event, here’s the result of the action. The clip also includes local riders Masahiro Motohashi, Takahumi Noguchi, Tomoo Ishihara, Yoshiaki Nagamatsu, and Yuma Kobayashi.
