Steven Allen successfully defended his title at the Lancelin Ocean Classiz winning the 29th edition of the Australian windsurfing marathon.
The race featured 118 athletes competing in 15-20 knots of wind from Ledge Point to Lancelin covering 25 kilometers down wind.
10 time World Champion Steven Allen won after despite a false start, and finishing in a time of 29 minutes and 59 seconds, only 13 seconds ahead of Isaac Devries in second.

The 2014 Lancelin Ocean Classic was Philip Koester’s first event with his new sail sponsor Severne. Koester won the event in front of (2nd)Glenn Alexander, (3rd)Graham Wood and(4th) Ben Severne. Will this set the tone for Koester’s PWA season, as he will no doubt be looking to regain his World Title?
The Lancelin Ocean Classic has wrapped up its 28th year of competition, the small fishing town of Lancelin. Hundred and competitors flocked here for 3 days from January 10th to the 13th for the biggest and longest running windsurfing event in Australia.
This years event consited of two events, a wave disipline, and a marathon event. The marathon event was a downwind course of approximately 25 kilometers.
