All of the footage was shot over 2011 and 2012 and put together by Sophia Regerbis from double4productions. The whole clip is deffinitley worth a watch and showcases a variety of spots, and awesome windsurfing talent in both Wave and Freestyle disciplines.
“A season passed by” is the 4th episode in the chasing dreams series featuring Davy Scheffers, Antony Ruenes, Paul Boef, and Remko de Zeeuw. After a diverse season for Davy it’s time to go to Brasil. Currently he’s out there in the warm and tropical conditions to prepare for the 2013 season, but check out this clip last dutch session.
A year passed by.
Riding in different country’s, different spots and different conditions… Being on the road shows and brings you a lot, but being at home always gives me a good feeling. Family, friends, my homespot.. it feels good.Before the winterseason starts i’m up for one of my last dutch sessions! Yesterday tragic news passed through the windsurfing community. Late on Sunday night a passionate and beloved windsurfer left us. At 22 his passing is baffling and more details have not been released as we respect his family’s wish for privacy. This great ambassador for the sport will be true missed and send the deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
Arnon Dagon (ISR-1) Is leaving Gaastra Sails after 4 years riding for them, to go back to Neil Pryde. Arnon is also leaving the Tabou board brand, but that deal is not finalized, saying “Yes, it’s not a done deal yet, but it will be for sure a super top company.” Arnon had some ups and downs on the PWA season this year, but had some highlights in other competitions, including athird place at the Storm Rider Wave event in Israel, the second place at the Formula Europeans at Sylt and the second place at the IFCA Slalom Europeans at Rosas, Catalunya, Spain.

A little bit from everywhere this week. Marcilio Browne is back on Maui and Jimmie Hepp caught him out nearly alone at Lanes on some big Nasty Waves. And a nice feature of Albert Pijoan a Pozo local who is training over the winter in Cape Town South Africa shot by Jose Pina.

West Kirby is well known for speed sailing, with GPS records often getting broken and peak speeds hitting over 50 Knots. Here’s a nice video of someof the action captured there on January 3rd 2013.
Ben van der Steen (Ned-57) is very fasts Slalom sailor and he has the potential to win a worldtitle, beat the much experienced older racers like Antoine Albeau, Björn Dunkerbeck or Micah Buzianis. In the past two seasons Ben placed 2nd on 4 events, twice in 3rd, and wrapped up the 2011 PWA tour in 3rd overall. After two successful seasons sailing with Loft Sails, he has decided to leave the company and signed a contract with Gaastra.
