Congragulations to Philip Koster winning the mens division in the 2013 PWA Tenerife World Cup and Daida Moreno on the women’s side.
Philip Koster faced up against Vistor Fernandez in the final for an epic battle. Both riders pulled double forwards, but Koster’s style and a nice stall gave him the edge. Koster just edged Fernandez on the waves as well, managing a 360, taka and nice lip smack on one wave to put him ahead.

Women’s Side
It was another intense battle between the two sisters, Iballa and Daida Moreno. Iballa came back to take the first final with some big back loops and nice hits. Daida was yet to loose in the competition so Iballa would have to beat her sister one more time. However int he super final Daida showed a little more in both waves and jumps, winning the PWA Tenerife World Cup.

The 2013 AWT Quatro Desert Showdown in Punta San Carlos will go down as the most epic Pro/Am wave events in history.
The event saw amazing waves and wind with competitors competing on sail sizes from 4.5 down to 3.5. The long heat lengths and super fair “second chance” bracket system has kept a smile on every riders face. Let’s check out the action.
The AWT would like to dedicate the AWT Baja event to Andre Paskowski who passed away today. He truly lived life to its fullest even through hard times. His love for the sport of windsurfing was portrayed in his incredible windsurf film making. He inspired us and his legend lives on in our hearts. – AWT

Philip Koster and Daida Ruano Moreno come out on top after the single elimination
day 3 at the 2013 PWA Tenerife World Cup saw the much anticipated conclusion of the men’s and women’s single elimination’s. The top PWA riders put on an amazing display as winds hit 40 knots and some of the best waves of the contest so far rolled through. The single elimination wrapped up with Philip Köster (Starboard / NeilPryde / Maui Ultra Fins) and Daida Ruano Moreno (Starboard / Severne) claim the opening victories of the week. At 2:15pm the men’s double elimination began allowing the majority of the first round to be completed, before both the wind and wave conditions deteriorated.
In heat 14 Philip Koster produced a not worthy jump and move of the day as he he landed an absolutely outrageous stalled double forward, completely ankle dry.

This video shows how a (relative) skunking turns out on the paradisiacal island of Mauritius. Unfortunately there were only a few days of wind when I was there and when we did have wind the swell was pretty small.
The island is amazing though, so there was plenty to see and do during the down time. The action is shot from one afternoon at One Eye, where I had a tiny taste of how good it can get. Definitely will have to get back to score it on a solid South Swell!
