Filmed in and around Cape Town. A short promotional video from this last winter. Was a good season in Cape Town with plenty of waves but less wind than usual. After hurting my ankle in November, almost half the 4 month trip was cut short from tearing my ligaments. Fortunately I had a decent month towards the end with a fully healed foot and some solid forecasts.
Most of the time we were testing and shooting the Gaastra / Tabou 2013 gear but this is some of the footage on the current 2012 boards and sails. Now working on a full video from the rest of the trip with the 2013 gear which is coming this summer, and is awesome. Most of the footage was filmed by my girlfriend, Rebecca Ashton.
A sweet clip from Butterfly effect founder Tatiana Howard playing in her home of Maui.

This winter Stefanos Damianos spent 80 Days in Blue Lagoon together with Tony Mottus , Christopher Kalk and Sten Aava. This trip was different because they wanted to spend a really long time in the isolated lagoon, going just once every 3 or 4 weeks back to dahab to bring supplies on a camel. Everyone was just focused and motivated to progress and have fun.
This shot some great freestyle video from this awesome spot, enjoy!
Sandy Point has long been regarded as probably the best natural speedsailing location in the world, it’s located about 180 km south-east of Melbourne, Australia and has it’s peak wind strengths during winter (March-October). During March 2012 Windsurf Australia visited Sandy Point for a few days of filming and photoshoots, this is our video from those days.
