A New 2013 JP Cut in Half for Warranty

It’s a bit painful to watch as this brand new board is cut in half for a warranty replacement, due to a defect in the Fin Box. It’s standard procedure for board manufactures to ask for evidence that the board is cut in half before a warranty replacement is shipped. The poster on youtube states, “In the name of profits It is preferable the resources go to waist before some can enjoy it for free, making sure people have to pay.”

Let us know if you agree or disagree with the practice. We’re torn, so many people would love to have that damaged board, which could have been repaired. But people would likely abuse a system where the board manufactures would send you a replacement, and allow you to keep the slightly damaged board.
