Pistol River Wave Bash Final Day

Sunday saw the last day for the 2012 Pistol Rive Wave Bash, and the best action was seen! A west swell brought logo high waves all day for the final two heats of the Pro division as well as an expression session for a Chinook boom.

The first heat put Morgan Noireaux against Bernd Roediger, two of the worlds top young pros.  Noireaux started off strong but it was not enough to take down Roediger who sailed incredibly well and advanced to the final.

In the final Bernd was up against Siver who had advanced on the previous day.   Both were hitting some big jumps and scoring nice waves.  Siver than landed a perfect Wave 360 right in Roediger’s face, and the battle was on!  Roediger tried to match Siver with a Goiter but crashed.  The heat was over and Siver claimed victory.

The Expression Session for a Chinook Carbon Boom, was the final heat of the event. Competitors took the water to see who could land the biggest and most impressive move.  Russ Faurot stuck a massive Back Loop taking an early lead… until Graham Ezzy’s Upwind 360 on the wave gave him the lead… but Kevin Pritchard was not to be denied landing his signature one-handed one-footed Back Loop. It was an all Ezzy team podium for the expression session!
